Meet the Team

Ellis Kern - Chief Executive Officer

Ellis Kern, Zomax CEO, is a highly successful entrepreneur and turnaround manufacturing executive with extensive knowledge of the CD/DVD replication industry. Prior to joining Zomax, Kern served as President of WEA Inc., a holding company comprised of Ivy Hill, WEA Manufacturing and WEA Distribution. At WEA, Inc, Kern successfully implemented supply chain strategies, eliminated losses and grew operating profits. Kern founded Ivy Hill Corp and sold the company to Warner Communications in 1988.

Kern joined the Zomax board in 2006. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Melodie Gee - Chief Operating Officer

As COO of Zomax, Melodie Gee is responsible for all aspects of North American Operations. Gee brings 14 years of industry experience to Zomax. Most recently she served as President of the organization and previously held other leadership roles in the company including positions in Sales, Operations and Quality.

Currently, Gee serves on the Content Delivery & Storage Association (CDSA) Board of Directors and on the Board for the American Independent Media Manufacturers’ Association (AIMMA). In addition, Gee is a founding member and serves on the Board of the Colonial Purchasing Co-op. She is an alumna of The Ohio State University where she earned a B.S./B.A. in Logistics.

David Silvon - Chief Financial Officer

David Silvon brings twenty-five years of experience in the CD and DVD replication, printing and distribution business to Zomax, where he currently serves as CFO. Prior to joining Zomax, Silvon served as the CFO at Cinram U.S., which is the world’s largest CD/DVD replicator with over $1B in revenue. At Cinram, he spearheaded the successful transaction and consolidation of accounting applications post-acquisition and reduced costs by $2M. Silvon also served as CFO of WEA Manufacturing where he provided leadership to achieve $20M in annual cost reduction through a complete business restructuring and was part of the team that sold WEA to Cinram. During his tenure at WEA, Silvon simultaneously served as the CFO of Ivy Hill Printing, another Time Warner Division.
